More Sponsored Books, More Voices Heard: It Just Works Reaches Minnesota Lawmakers and Community Leaders

Two more books. Two more opportunities to influence conversations about criminal justice reform, rehabilitation, and second chances.

Crookd Crown Publishing is proud to announce that two additional sponsored copies of It Just Works: Real Stories & Behavioral Science From the Earned Living Unit are being shipped to Minnesota State Representative Cedrick Frazier and Hennepin County Commissioner Jeffrey Lunde.

These shipments represent another meaningful step forward in our 100 Books Community Sponsorship Campaign, an initiative dedicated to placing 100 copies of It Just Works into the hands of legislators, policymakers, correctional professionals, and community leaders.

Our mission is bigger than distributing books. We're working to bring the voices of incarcerated men into the rooms where decisions about their lives and futures are made.

It Just Works: Giving Incarcerated Men a Voice in Criminal Justice Reform

Co-authored by Brandon D. Cox and Jermaine F. Ferguson from inside Minnesota Correctional Facility–Stillwater (MCF-Stillwater), It Just Works combines powerful firsthand stories with behavioral science to explore rehabilitation, accountability, personal growth, and the impact of positive correctional environments.

The book highlights the experiences of men living within Stillwater's Earned Living Unit (ELU), where community, peer mentorship, responsibility, and positive relationships are central to daily life.

These are stories of individuals taking ownership of their past while actively working toward a different future.

And they deserve to be part of the larger conversation about prison rehabilitation and criminal justice reform.

Reaching Representative Cedrick Frazier and Commissioner Jeffrey Lunde

By sending sponsored copies of It Just Works to Representative Cedrick Frazier and Commissioner Jeffrey Lunde, Crookd Crown Publishing hopes to encourage greater awareness and understanding of the work taking place inside the Earned Living Unit.

Too often, conversations about correctional policies and rehabilitation happen without firsthand perspectives from incarcerated individuals.

It Just Works offers those perspectives through personal experiences, reflections, and lessons about accountability and change.

We hope these books help inspire thoughtful conversations about what effective rehabilitation can look like and why positive environments matter.

100 Books. 100 Opportunities to Be Heard.

Every sponsored copy brings us one step closer to our goal of reaching 100 legislators, policymakers, and community leaders.

For just $15, supporters can sponsor a copy of It Just Works and help us place these stories into the hands of people who can contribute to meaningful conversations about criminal justice reform.

We are incredibly grateful to the individuals supporting this campaign. Your generosity is helping amplify voices that might otherwise go unheard.

A book can start a conversation. A conversation can challenge a perspective. And a changed perspective can open the door to meaningful change.

We're proud of the progress we're making, and we're just getting started.

100 BOOKS. 100 OPPORTUNITIES TO BE HEARD.
